Ashley and Sonny’s Intimate Farm Wedding
We can’t stop smiling when we think of Ashley and Sonny’s intimate South Coast Farm Wedding. Ashley’s embroidered, off-the-shoulder gown and floral hairpiece added romantic detail to their stylish country celebration. The jewel tone of the bridesmaid’s dresses gave a dynamic contrast to the gown, while the floral arrangements played off all the colours. Ashley’s bridal bouquet perfectly complemented her stunning hazel eyes. What a gorgeous day!
Ashley and Sonny both reside in Sydney and celebrate shared Lebanese heritage. A traditional Lebanese wedding is a big affair that seats 200-300 guests. Instead of throwing a large urban event, the couple chose to get out of the city for a few days with a smaller group of friends and family. They planned a cosy wedding getaway in the South Coast.
The wedding party enjoyed a nice, relaxing morning preparation followed by the ceremony at the farm’s chapel. Ashley and Sonny incorporated some cultural traditions you’ll notice in the photos, such as having Lebanese drummers play during the reception. The traditions paired with the charming location and modern styling made for a wedding that was completely their own.
The couple’s choice of venue was The Wood Farm at Jervis Bay. This gave the wedding an elegant and rustic backdrop. There are so many choice spots for portraits! The chapel and banquet hall are thoughtfully designed to let in natural light. We caught shots of the bridal party getting ready, the groomsmen looking handsome while sharing stories in a cottage, and group portraits on the vintage patio. With the tranquil farm environment, there was even time to bond with some horses on the property.
We’re thrilled that we got to capture Ashley and Sonny’s special day. As you look through the photos below we think you’ll agree that the couple made the right choices when planning their laid-back farm wedding.
