Featured Real Wedding – Katrina & Anthony

On one of Sydney’s hottest days in many years, we attended the wedding of Katrina and Anthony. This beautiful couple made the most of every minute of their special day.

For Katrina, the day began with make-up and hair by Beauty Central by Karla and KCB Hair. Katrina looked relaxed as she laughed with her bridesmaids and was prepared by her team. Elsewhere, the groom and his boys relaxed by the pool as the day heated up.

For this couple, romance and family were the themes for the day as they made their vows at The Coast Chapel, down in Little Bay. Perched on the water, this intimate venue boasts distracting waterfront views out of stained glass windows.

We felt like we were melting, but Katrina looked like she was floating above it all in a romantic backless, long-sleeved gown and long veil – the work of Sydney designer, Karen Willis Holmes. The breeze off the water was a welcome relief as we took gorgeous shots around the coastline.

From there, we drove the short distance to The Grounds of Alexandria. This is where the fun kicked off. The air con in The Linseed House was very appreciated – a beautifully restored linseed factory with 10-metre ceilings, heritage brick walls and art deco styling.

The white sea of flowers adorning the walls, ceiling and tables were breathtaking. They were the work of The Grounds Florals by Silva, renowned in Alexandria for the use of design and colour. Silva outdid herself on this day.

Of course, there were plenty more photos to get, as The Grounds provides many nooks and spaces to capture memorable moments – even a magical white fairytale carriage.

Then the night became a haze of singing and dancing, and even pyrotechnics and dry ice! This stunning couple was definitely going into their future with a bang, and we were honoured to be part of it.
